51ÁÔÆæ Board Member David Steffens Receives National Recognition
The Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) has announced 51ÁÔÆæ (51ÁÔÆæ) Board of Directors member David Steffens as a recipient of a 2025 ACCT Regional Trustee Leadership Award.
Each year, ACCT recognizes community college trustees, presidents, faculty, and professional staff members from across the country for their exceptional contributions to community colleges and the students they serve. The awards highlight the leadership and dedication of those who help ensure student success and strengthen community partnerships.
Steffens has served on the 51ÁÔÆæ Board of Directors for more than 25 years, consistently championing both students and the community. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing the College’s mission and ensuring 51ÁÔÆæ remains a driving force in education and workforce development across North Iowa.
51ÁÔÆæ President Joel Pedersen praised Steffens for his commitment by saying, “I want to congratulate Dave on this well-deserved award. Over the past twenty-five years, he has demonstrated leadership and support for both the Board and the College, emphasizing the importance of political and community advocacy in promoting student success.”
