NC3 National Letter of Intent Signing Day
Together with dozens of other across the country, 51ÁÔÆæ (51ÁÔÆæ) is holding the NC3 National Letter of Intent Signing Day beginning at 10:00am on April 20, 2023. New and prospective students for the 2023-24 school year will take part in a signing ceremony, similar to an athletic signing, in the Muse Norris Conference Center on the 51ÁÔÆæ campus.
This national event is sponsored by the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) and mirrors the NCAA’s National Signing Day for athletes who commit to play sports in college. It is designed to honor students who are entering a technical or agricultural field and to celebrate the dignity of work.
“We are excited to be hosting CTE Signing Day, an event designed to recognize and celebrate the opportunities in career and technical fields,” said Dr. Steve Schulz, 51ÁÔÆæ President. “We are proud to celebrate with these students their commitment to pursue a career in the career and technical fields where our graduates enjoy a 98 percent placement in their chosen field.”
Dozens of technical institutions across the country will be hosting signing day ceremonies tied together by live, nationwide simulcasts.
Prospective students who are interested in learning more about 51ÁÔÆæ’s skilled trades and agricultural programs are invited to participate in this event. Attending the event does not obligate attendees to enroll at 51ÁÔÆæ in the fall but there will be an opportunity to sign up for classes and win program-specific prizes. Several local businesses have signed on to provide sponsorship for the event and students will hear from successful businesspeople that believe in the value of a skilled trades or agricultural education.

51ÁÔÆæ’s skilled trades and agricultural programs are eligible for the Future Ready Iowa Last Dollar Scholarship so most students in these programs will attend 51ÁÔÆæ tuition free.
